Today is Day 3 and we're introducing new stamps. . .Autumn Wreath, Spooky Wreath, Moka Tabitha, Spooky A la Carte and Fall A la Carte.  My project for today features Autumn WreathAutumn Wreath is part of the popular seasonal wreath series concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It is a petite stamp set containing 8 images/sentiments and coordinates with the Seasonal Wreath Die

I decided to use another favor box to create my project today!  With the purchase of the Halloween bundle, customers will receive a set of 10 assorted favor boxes free!!  I stamped and colored the wreath with Copic markers and die cut it with the Seasonal Wreath Die.  Then I added some Glossy Accents to the acorns and Cinnamon Stickles to the leaves.

Before assembling the treat box, I stamped it with leaves.  I punched a circle from brown cardstock to mount the die cut wreath on so it would stand out a little more from the box.  I stamped the sentiment and mounted it over the wreath.

Please visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see more projects using today's featured sets!

Today we're featuring Toil & Trouble, Fangtastic, the Spooky Impression Plate, Spooky Fence Border Die and the Spooky Project Pantry

My project today feature the Toil & Trouble set.  Toil & Trouble is a cute Halloween decor set.  It was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It includes 25 images and sentiments.  My first project features a partial sentiment from the set along with a spiderweb image and witch hat.  I used a black favor box and stamped the spiderweb onto the box in white craft ink.  With the purchase of the Halloween bundle, customers will receive a set of 10 assorted favor boxes free!!  I stamped the sentiment onto green cardstock, trimmed it and attached that to the box as well as the cut out witch hat that I mounted on an orange punched circle.

My second project is a card using Toil & Trouble along with the Spooky Project Pantry and the Spooky Fence Border Die

Taylor is doing something a little different this month with the Project Pantry. As you know, the idea behind the Project Pantry is that when you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients. When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements!  We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes. This month we are offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.

The Spooky Project Pantry Basic Recipe Kit is $11.95 and includes:

Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad
10 sheets of 8.5" x 11" cardstock in coordinating colors
6 yards of ribbon (2 yards each of 3 different styles)

Optional Spice it Up Ingredients (choose any or all) are:

    Black Sparkly Fluff
    Black/White Enamel Accents
    Orange Rhinestones
    Black Pearls
    Halloween Button Assortment
    Spooky Cardstock Pack
    Spooky Ribbon Bundle

When you go to the Spooky Project Pantry in the store you will see the optional items linked under the Basic Recipe kit, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to add to your cart. We know you'll have fun customizing your kit!

It's the first day of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions and you're in for a real treat!  Today we're featuring Build a Treat, Build a Treat Borders, Birthday A la Carte, Sweet Party and the coordinating dies!

My first project uses the Build a Treat set.  Build a Treat (and Build a Treat Borders) is an adorable idea concepted by sweet, sweet Sankari!  It's like "Build a Bear" except with cupcakes and ice cream!  :)  They were illustrated by Nancy McKinney and are part of the Whimsical Wishes line.  Both sets have coordinating dies!  They are both full sized sets too!  Build a Treat includes 30 images and sentiments and Build a Treat Borders includes 5 borders, each approximately 6" long, both line art and solid images.

I used the Life of the Party Collection from My Mind's Eye for my card.  I stamped the cupcake bottom onto patterned paper and stamped the top onto white cardstock and I die cut them using the Build a Treat Tops and Bottoms Die along with the Tiny Toppers for the cherry!

My second project today uses the Sweet Party set.  Sweet Party is a cute petite set that is reminiscent of our very first stamp set, Sweet Celebration and it is to help celebrated TE's 3rd birthday!  It was illustrated by Jessie Oleson for the Stamp a Sweet Impression line.  It contains the party scene image plus 3 cute sentiments.  You can purchase this petite stamp set for $7.95 or get it for FREE with a purchase of $100 or more in the TE Store Thursday-Monday!

I used papers from the Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I stamped the image onto white cardstock, colored it with Copic markers and die cut it using the Frame It Up 1 Die.  I tied a bow with some Hot Pink Double-Edged Polka Dot Ribbon

    Verve August Diva Dare

The August Diva Dare is going on over at the Verve Blog, and today is my day to share my answer to the dare with you!

This month's theme is Sending Some Sunshine! So, we're actually going to SEND our card to someone for this challenge. :) When I was thinking of who I would send my card to, I thought of this sweet, sweet girl who is ALWAYS making cards and sending them to sick children. Her name is Emersyn, she is 9 years old, and she is such a sweetheart. She also has a Cards For Kids Facebook page. She loves crafting and loves putting a smile on a child's face. I am going to send my card to her (along with others in my stash) so that she can pass them along to more sick children.

We'd love for you to play along with this month's Diva Dare!   Head on over to the Day 1 Post for more information and to see what you could win by playing along!  Thanks for stopping by!

    VLV Live the Life

This past Friday, sweet Teresa brought us a new Viva la Verve Sketch!  I used the Making a Statement frame and graph paper stamp along with a sentiment from Words of Wisdom.  I die cut the frame using the Rounded Scallop Frame Die and made the piece into a tag using some ribbon.  The papers are from the Country Drive Collection from Echo Park.

I used two different sizes of Plain Circle Nestabilities to die cut the circle around the sentiment.  I added some Want2Scrap bling on the circle frame.  Come play along with the Viva la Verve Challenge. . .there is always Verve goodness to win!  :)  Also, the August Diva Dare started on Friday, so you can play along with that challenge as well!  Tomorrow is my day to share how I answered the dare, so please stop back!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a GREAT day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Making a Statement, Words of Wisdom (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine), Ocean Depth (VersaMagic); Paper- Country Drive Collection (Echo Park), Bazzill; Accessories:  Rounded Scallop Frame Die (Verve Stamps), Plain Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), bling (Want2Scrap);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

    First Day of School

Well, today was the start of school!  Savannah starts 2nd grade and Arwen starts Kindergarten!  I can't believe I now have two kids in school all day!  Arwen was so excited to start Kindergarten, but I could also see that she was a little nervous to be in school ALL DAY.  Hopefully once the day gets started and she's busy meeting new friends and learning, the day won't seem so long.  Savannah is an old pro now.  She knows what to expect and has friends already, so I'm not so worried about her.  :)  Hopefully she'll take care of her little sister when she sees her in school. . .like I kept reminding her all morning!  ;)

    Love You

I just got the Victoria Gardens 6x6 pad from Echo Park and I thought I'd pair it up with the new Bugabee set from Taylored Expressions.  The Bugabee set is a cute and fun set and I thought pairing it up with something as elegant as Victoria Gardens would give it a different look!  I do like the end result.  I think the card still looks elegant even though I used a "non-elegant" stamp set.

I used the Bugabee Bug Dies to die cut the ladybug out of the patterned papers.  The flower was created using the Bugabee Flower Dies.  I used the Labels 10 Nestabilities on the rose patterned paper and sponged around the edges.  I also used Maroon Pearls to embellish.  The sentiment was stamped in white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I don't know how well it shows up in the picture, but I used the Illuminate Glitter Top Coat Smooch on the ladybug and flower.  It gives them a great little shimmer!

Well, school starts tomorrow!  We've got lots of little last minute preparations to make, but the girls are very excited!  Arwen will be starting Kindergarten, so I'm interested to see what she'll think of being in school ALL day!  :)  Savannah's beginning 2nd grade, so she's used to the long days.  It will definitely be a little more quiet in the house tomorrow. . .and I think I can get used to that!  ;)  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Bugabee (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Fresh Snow (PTI), Angel Pink, Rose Bug (Memento); Paper- Victoria Gardens (Echo Park); Accessories- pearls (Want2Scrap), Bugabee Bug Dies, Bugabee Flower Dies (Taylored Expressions), Smooch Illuminate, Labels 10 Nestabilities (Spellbinders);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

    Speak the Truth

This is one of my favorite sentiments in the new Verve set, Words of Wisdom.  Maybe because everytime I read it, I can actually feel it?  Does that make sense?  This is a pretty simple card using patterned papers from my scrap pile.  They were from the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper.

I used the Curvy Bookplate Die along with the coordinating stamp from Tag Time as well.

There's still time to take advantage of the Anni-VERVE-sary SALE!  Now through August 31st, you can save 10-40% on all stamps and dies!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Words of Wisdom, Tag Time (Verve Stamps); Ink- Walnut Stain Distress Ink (Ranger), Terra Cotta Tile (PTI);  Paper- Restoration Collection (Crate Paper); Accessories- Curvy Bookplate Die (Verve Stamps), ricrac, brad;  Finished card measures 4.25"5.5"

Make It Monday - Glitter Die Borders

Last week's Make It Monday Challenge was Glitter Die Borders.  I had a little time to give it a try.  I used a sentiment from the Blooming Button Bits set along with the Simple Circles Border Die and the Edgers #3 Collection.  I originally wanted to use the big flower in the Blooming Button Bits set, but I couldn't get it to fit right with the Simple Circles Border and sentiment, so I ended up just using a button instead.

I used True Black cardstock because I thought the glitter would show up best since I didn't have a colored glitter available.  You can find more creations using this technique here.  Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Sunday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Blooming Button Bits (PTI); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- True Black (PTI); Accessories- button, button twine, Simple Circles Border Die, Edgers #3 Collection (PTI), glitter;  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

    You're My Hero

There's a Giving Tree Sale at Taylored Expressions!  TE is offering several of their popular TE Giving Tree stamp sets at 25% off! The TE Giving Tree is a program designed to raise funds for charities through the sale of stamp sets. Each stamp set in the program supports a designated charity with the donation of partial proceeds for the first three months after it is released. To date there have been 12 stamp sets in the TE Giving Tree Program!

In the past, the Giving Tree sets have been sold un-trimmed as a solid sheet of rubber on EZ Mount cling cushion, which was done to save on manufacturing costs, allowing TE to donate more to charity. However, they've decided to make the switch so that even the rubber for the Giving Tree stamps will be trimmed like all other TE sets. So here's where the sale comes in! There are limited quantities remaining of the following un-trimmed Giving Tree sets available at 25% off while supplies last. (Cozy Cottages, Welcome Little One, Make a Wish, You're My Hero, Discover Your Wings, The Places You'll Go, Beary Special, Beary Special Accessories and Branching Out).  You can find them all in the What's the Deal Category in the TE store.  When the last of the un-trimmed sets are sold, they will be re-stocked with pre-trimmed rubber and the sale price will disappear.

For my card today, I used the You're My Hero set along with some papers from the Life of the Party Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I also used Karen's latest Sweet Sunday Sketch!  I used the Star Border Die as well as the From the Heart Frame Die and the Bracket Frame Die.  I used some of the stars left over from diecutting the star strip to embellish the sentiment panel.  I added some messy stitching and distressed the bottom edge of the card to add some interest.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- You're My Hero (Taylored Expressions); Ink- VersaMagic Malted Mauve, Aloe Vera, Sea Breeze; Paper- Life of the Party Collection (My Mind's Eye); Accessories- bling (Zva Creative), From the Heart Frame Die, Bracket Frame Die, Star Border Die (Taylored Expressions);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

    VLV Person To Become

I don't know how you feel, but this week has gone by SO fast!  Maybe because it's the last week before school starts?  I just can't believe it's Friday already.  Being that it's Friday, though, there's a new Viva la Verve Sketch and this week, I'm hosting!  I hope you'll come and play along!

For my card I used the Words of Wisdom set along with the graph image stamp from Making a Statement.  The papers are from the Kitchen Spice Collection from Bo Bunny.  I used the Jotted Heart Die for the large heart and stamped it with the graph paper image.  The little hearts were die cut using the From the Heart Die Set

Hope you can play along with the sketch because I'd love to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Words of Wisdom, Making a Statement (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine), Groovy Guava (SU); Paper- Kitchen Spice Collection (Bo Bunny), Bazzill; Accessories- Jotted Heart Die, From the Heart Die Set (Verve Stamps), scallop border punch (SU);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"
