Today's Try a New Technique Challenge at SCS was Tapestry of Life, to use the tapestry technique. I never did this before. It was really simple to do, and I LOVE how my background came out. Unfortunately, I don't like the overall card. I got this clear stamp set a couple of weeks ago because I just LOVED it. I just can't seem to make the images work for a focal image. With this card, I tried faux stitching around the starfish thinking that would give it more focus, but I'm not sure it worked. I'll keep playing around and see what I can come up with. Beautiful!! I can see what you mean tho about the starfish not being focal. (Im not being critical!! lol)
Maybe if the Starfish was the blue or green color, it would be more focal against the strong pink bkgd.
Or maybe if you stamped another pink one, cut it out, and layered with pop glue dot over the first image, and it would make a shadow effect underneath.
