Limited Supplies Challenge
This card was for today's Limited Supplies Challenge, Bundle of Joy, on SCS. It was to make a neutral baby card that could be for either a boy or a girl. This card is pretty simple. The only different thing I did was pulled out my Fiskars Texture plates and used the Critters plate. I ran it through my Cuttlebug. You couldn't see the "critters" very well, so I sanded the paper to make them pop out of little more. The heart is a Sizzix die that I doodled on. I cut around the bear's hand with a craft knife so that I could tuck the heart under his hand to give the appearance that he is holding it. The bear was colored with Prismacolor pencils, gamsol and a stump. The sentiment is actually from a Studio G $1 clear stamp set that I got at Michael's. I used the ticket corner punch on the celery piece of cardstock, attached it to a piece of dark brown with dimensionals, then added the aged copper brads at the corners. So, do you think this card is neutral? I thought the pink heart and the "ruffled" ribbon gave it a little feminine flair. :) Well, I'm going to try to do some of the challenges on VSN. Hopefully I'll be able to post them here. . .but maybe not until tomorrow. Have a good night! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- SU Bundle of Joy, Studio G $1 stamp; Ink- Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel; Paper- DCWV cream, dark brown, SU Certainly Celery; Accessories- aged copper brads, ticket corner punch, horizontal slot punch, Fiskars Critters Texture plate, Cuttlebug, Sizzix die, craft knife, Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, stump, sanding block, May Arts ribbon.
