Who wants some "Oodagoodies"?!!
Since I just started this blogging thing a couple of weeks ago and am learning as I go, I thought I'd learn more about you and what you like. I made this ladybug set as an "oodagoodie" for one of YOU! It's a set of cards with envelopes in a stationery folder, and a nugget box complete with toffee and almond nuggets!! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and tell me what you think constitutes a good blog or one that you like to visit daily. My answer to this question is: seeing new, neat and different projects with more of a description (if needed) as to how to do them. . .and also hearing that the person didn't make their "masterpiece" on the first try! :) So, let me know what you think! Post your answer by Sunday, March 18 at 10am EST, and I'll draw one of your posts from a hat and announce the winner! Thanks for playing along and letting me know what you think!

I love your blog and your creations are beautiful! I enjoy blogs that showcase card layouts, different coloring techniques, listing recipes and instructions when applicable. Tutorials for certain techniques, and ways to use things out of the ordinary are great as well! Thanks for sharing your work here. :)
These are just beautiful! I love how striking the colors are... and the combination of the image and the greeting is fabulous! I'm so glad I stumbled across these projects... now to find those stamps for myself so I can sadly attempt to imitate your work!
OMG I just had to click from your SCS gallery to your blog to find out where this beautiful set was from. I love Love love Ladybugs!! This is too cute. This is also the first time I have commented to win something. This is only making my addiction to scrap/stamp blogs worse!! LOL
I want some Oodagoodies!!!
Best of luck with your blog, it looks great to me. I like it when you have a section that shows projects w/ how to info and past projects that move/slide while looking at the blog.
Love the Oodabugs!
I'm a "visual" person, so for me it's the nice, clear, and sharp photos of the projects. Sandra
That set is so awesome. I love to see creations and instructions on a blog. I am definitely going to subscribe to yours.
Jackie
mmmmm, let me see. What constitutes a good blog? I would say consistent posting, fun written banter (engaging), and beautiful cards/projects. Which, by the way, you rocked it out on this ladybug grouping! Love it!
Amy
First, this "oodagoodie" is breathtaking!! You are definitely making an impression on me as someone who loves new, fresh, ideas to work through. I encourage you to include how a project manifests itself. Obviously, your "ladybugs" are a source of inspiration, but what else gets the juices flowing? How does someone with a busy schedule make the time to be creative? Instructions for your projects are super as well, especially beginners.
Your project lead me here to experience a "blog", inspired me to want to maybe do the same with my business, and check in with you now and then.
All the best,

Lovin' the lady bugs!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. I like blog hoppin because everyones talents are different. Everyone has a different spin on things. I think the most important part of having a blog is to be yourself. If you just be yourself then you can't go wrong! Thanks for sharing!
anna
how beautiful! I LOVE bugs and love your creations! What I like about blogs is just seeing creations that people have made, learning what inspires them and seeing one of a kind creations. :) TFS
What a beautiful treat someone will win!
What makes an awesome blog in my mind is one that is updated regularly with creations and little tidbits about life thrown in for good measure!
The big thing is to update regularly... doesn't have to be daily, but regularly
I added your blog to my favorites list over a week ago, when I found it. I am a whimsical kinda gal and I absolutely love your use of color and whimsical images. I look forward to browsing your blog, Thanks for sharing!
I love to see happy & pretty things that people have made.
You have a great blog and wonderful creations. Something that I like on a blog is frequently updated and has several samples posted. I've also been frequenting a blog that makes a lot of projects using the cuttlebug.
Heather S.
how absolutely ADORABLE!! aweeeee i love your oodagoodies!
i enjoy blogs that have fresh, new card creations and also tips on different techniques.
I love your name for blog candy...amusing! What keeps me coming back to a blog? I would have to say striking compositions that speak to me...what does that mean exactly? I don't know...as I puruse through Google Reader, there are sites I must click through to comment on...they tend to be the same people over and over again who are working with the stamps, paper and embellishments to really make a "wow". I have learned so much from everybody since I started blogging and now I always re-visit my creation to make sure it is truly "done". TFS!
Very cute - great contest. The thing that makes me come back is great art- good ideas, pretty pictures, tips, and leads on great stuff. I love seeing what other people are up to!
awwwww I love lady bugs!!! there is at least 1 in every room of my house . . . even if I had to sneak them in the kids rooms but they are in there . . . somewhere! LOL! the only thing that draws me in for the blogs is the realness of the person . . . if that makes any sense at all. how people share their family life, their crafty ideas and talent!
Tina
Hi! I'm a new blogger myself and have found what I like best about other blogs is the ability to zoom in on photos/projects. That way you can really see the project up close. Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to see beautiful projects in full detail! Great blog!
What do I think makes a blog good???? I dunno. I guess one that where the stamp art is gorgeous. But more than that. I like to hear what's going on in other peoples lives and see what makes them the person they are. I like seeing a sense of humor come through and also when they admit that they've screwed up somehow and how/if they've made it work in the end
Charlie,
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! You should really try to sell your creations. Gosh, I wish I lived closer to you. I think you'll have a huge success with this blog. People are going to flock to your site and TRY to copy what you've done. You have such talent. I think you should try to sell on EBAY. GREAT GREAT GREAT work!!!! The Oodabug Alley title is just so darn cute. Why couldn't I think of that??? ha ha
I just discovered your blog yesterday and I am enjoying it. I also have a background in community (but not musical) theater.
I like directions, clear photos, explanations of cool details that might not be obvious from a photo and info on unusual items from off the beaten path. I am also a sucker for the lighter moments of life and crafting. And people who have kids usually have more lighter moments than most (after clean-up!)
Wow...what a nice blog. Your blog constitutes a good blog, great pictures, consistent blogging and great instructions! Glad I found your blog...so inspirational!
Pat
I love looking at your blog and many different projects. It is fun to hear how you did the projects, hear about the oops and learn as we go. The crisp detailed pictures help as well.
I only visit a handful of blogs....yours being one of them (as of earlier today!) I love seeing lots of pictures and well written posts. It's also fun to share recipes and read about family too. And 'oodagoodies' aren't bad, either!!! ;)
I love this ladybug set, and the story behind 'oodabug' -- CUTE!!!
*Pick me!!*
Love your blog and your creations. For me its a blog where you can obviously tell the person loves what they do. I also enjoy the tutorials, descriptions of what is needed to make the project/card. Pictures always help too.
I absolutely love this set. I have ladybugs all over my computer room, in fact that's my email name.
So you see, I really need that set.
When I visit a blog I like to see card and gift ideas and also some scrapbook layouts. I'm pretty much interested in just about anything you want to post...BTW, did I tell you how much I LOVE ladybugs??
~~Rita~~
our cards are beautiful,I think by you telling us how you did it is really helpful when some of us are not that creattive......Love your blog candy
On blogs, I like to see pictures of projects. I also like to read about things OTHER than stamping. Recipes, funny stories about kids, feel free to vent too...mix it up!
Okay a good blog to me is one that has fresh new card or project posts daily with the recipe and need be a tutorial. Some people like me need a visual....
First, I want to wish you Good luck with your new blog. Second, it so nice to see when you start out asking what we want!!!
I would love to win this blog candy...
OHHH Ladybugs are my favorite!! I think good blog is one that gets updated alot, with different stamps and color combos. Seeing different and new projects are always great!! It gets my creative juices flowing and inspires me to stamp!! Great job!
I love it. Wow this is beautiful! Sign me up!, I will check in on a daily basis!
Wow, what fabulous oodagoodies!!! :) I love your blog and here is why: you use mostly Stampin' Up! stuff for your creations! I love SU! blogs because that means that I may be able to CASE it compared to if I don't have any stamps that are remotely close to it. That, and you are not afraid of rich colours, which I love;)
~Amy H.
I love your "Oodagoodies"... This is something I will definitely have to try - maybe for the GK's end of year teacher's gifts. As far as what i think makes a good blog - I like to see everyone's work but I really like to see 'How' they made it, so patterns/templates are a must and detailed instructions are a plus.. I also like to se that a blog is posted to at least every couple of days that way i know the blogger is as interested in us as we are in them. Keep up the great work.

Cool blog - today is my first visit. I don't think a blog has to be updated daily, but a couple times a week is nice. I love to see newly created paper art, with details on how to recreate (stamp names and manuf., paper sizes and folds for unique cards, etc.)
TFS!
Your designs are great! I like to visit blogs that .... are updated on a regular basis, feature new techniques, include tutorials and show photos of card samples and projects. Have a great day!
First I'd like to say it's fun to see another Charmaine who spells her name like I do. Your blog is fun to visit.
Charmaine G
What makes a blog good - IMHO - is regular posting, different projects and when the person lets their personality shine through.
BTW - I love your blog! :-)
LOVE your banner! I so love doodly stuff right now! The blogs I love are the ones that create fun and innovative cards or whatever and tell me where the products came from! That is key. I want to know...Hey where did you get that scalloped circle or that funky ribbon. That in addition to sending to me cool and funky sites, such as yours. ..that I was not previously aware of and I always find them (the other blogs) interesting enough to put in my google reader. And yes, you are a part of my google reader. Happy Wednesday everyone!
Debby
I had to hop on over here from scs because I just thought this is the cutest project ever. You did an awesome job on it. I like a blog that is updated regularly and I would love to see the metamorphisis from idea to finished project. I like to hope I am not the only one that struggles for inspiration and that the finished project doesn't always turn out.
These are really wonderful as is everything on your blog. I think what makes a great blog is frequent updating with projects that include the materials and how they were made. Cards are wonderful as well as other papercrafts and art. I even enjoy seeing a recipe or two and a little lighthearted chatter.
I was just checking out your SCS gallery and then thought I would check out your blog as well! I really like your blog -your cards are beautiful! I really like blogs that offer tutorials on different topics. Gail
What a darling little set! I just love your creations and your blog. The key ingredients I enjoy in my favorite blogs are:
1. Humor and personality in the writing. I like to know it's a real person on the other end.
2. A photo and an explanation of the process to make the card, not just the recipe or end result.
3. A variety of projects/cards updated several times a week.
4. Posts about new products or goodies.
What an adorable little gift set! You've been busy! I find that I enjoy blogs where people share a bit about themselves and their life, not just their crafts. It helps give a glimpse into their lives and personalities. There doesn't need to be a crafty type update eveyday. :)
~Angie
I love the ladybug blog candy!! I enjoy blogs that have the instructions that I can learn as much as I can. I am just starting card making & stamping this year after 8 years of scrapbooking. I love to try new things and am in awe of what can be done with the different techniques. Thanks for sharing!!
Your blog is adorable and what a cute name!! I just found it and will be popping it in my faves!! Your candy looks lovely (I love ladybugs too)! I am a total bloghopper and love to check out people's work every day, when I find the time! What keeps me coming back is a new card/project every day or two with a detailed description as to what techniques/colours/tools they used. Congrats on the great blog!!
Hello! I just found out about your blog on Kendra's blog {Inkin It Up} and wow your work is great. I love to read blogs that are light hearted. I read blogs inbetween my mommy duties, and during naptimes *wink* so it's nice to read happy things. My favorite sites are those that post their art projects along with their journaling / writing ... I love the CANDY FOR MY EYES. So far you are doing great.
I think your blog is fabulous. The fresh and clean style is what I like to see in a blog. Along with littel interesting facts about stamping and life.
Since I am deaf and can not benefit from audio tutorials or taking a class, I love looking at blogs to get ideas. I ran across yours recently and fell in love with it! I would love ideas that could take anywhere from 10 minutes for a simple card to something a bit more elaborate but not too challenging for someone like me-uncreative! Please pick me!

love these!!! I love the colors ....What I think make GREAT blogs are consistent postings, diff ideas...funny .....I love reading what everyone else is doing in their everyday life ....TFS!!!!!!!
Um I think what I class is a good blog is new cards and ideas when I go to the blog - I have to say I do like to go everyday to peoples blogs and feel lost if somebody is away or been busy!!!! he he he
I love those ladybugs! I like to see blogs that have the recipe for their creations and template/instructions if it is something unusual. Thanks for sharing your work!
Dina Anderson
Charmaine, this set is so cute...As for ideas,I think any site I go on, I find something special in one way or another.I love stamps and embelishments! One more site for me to visit,Thanks a bunch!!
You are doing just AWESOME on your blog!
I love to check it everyday to see your new creations.
A weekly tutorial is always nice to case, KWIM?
the number one reason I return to a blog is because I get the link in my emial every time there is a post. Using Feedblitz or Feedburner is the best way. I have a crappy blog it seems because I dont have time to post everyday. There are some people who post 15 or more times a day. I dont get it really. I go in batches. 3 or 4 and none for days.and now I am off to bed-beczuse I am sick. bye
I love this BLOG candy! I really like ladybugs and this is just awesome!I really like seeing all the different creations people come up with! I really need tutorials, everyone finds a different way of doing things, and if I am to CASE something it's easier for me to have step by step instructions.

Sweet! Love, love, LOVE the ladybugs! Stumbled across your blog a couple of weeks ago and instantly subscribed! I love the whimsical cards, as well as, the stories behind them. I tend to get stuck in a rut, making the same type of card over and over. I really like the freshness of your cards..helps me to rethink what I've been doing lately. Simple designs that have a big WOW effect!
Your "oodagoodies" really caught my eye! They are fabulous little creations and we would all LOVE to win them! :)
To answer your question...I love blogs that are "active" with new posts often, preferably with photos of their creations with supply lists and instructions.
Great site YOU have Charmaine! Smiles, Pam :)
Love your blog! What makes a good blog? I love the pictures of your creations and directions on how they were made. Also, I enjoy hearing how the creative process occurs. What was the inspiration, why the colors you chose, etc. Tutorials are nice when using a new technique, but mostly I just enjoy hearing your thoughts and seeing what you've done.
Let's see, what makes a good blog as in one I read everyday...well, posting everyday is a good start but mostly I am just looking for inspiration and new wonderful ideas. Candy looks delicious!!
Geny C.
Wonderful blog candy! Love the black dots on red paper - clever. I think a good blog should look tidy and be easy to ready. I like blogs who have images like yours - nicely photographed. Personally, since I love food and love to cook, I also like mixing some recipes in there, too! Hehehe. Oh, and I love it when blogs have an RSS feed...I use my FireFox RSS feed reader to check for updates on my blogs! =)
Thanks for this chance! *fingers' crossed*
Cris
What a beautiful gift! I like the blogs that have interesting creations. New ideas that get me out of my box. I also like the thought of tutorials to help me along. More of what you do would be wonderful for me!
It's a good life!
