First Day of Preschool!

Well, it happened! Savannah went to preschool, had a great time and came home in one piece! :) The teacher asked me to stay a little afterwards to talk about Savannah's allergies, so that really put me at ease. When she said "if snacks come in that don't have a label we won't even chance giving it to Savannah", I breathed a big sigh of relief. Savannah was so funny. As soon as the doors opened, she didn't even look back to say goodbye. . .she was off! When I picked her up, she gave me a sly smile as she was waiting in line for her turn for the teacher to send her off. I tried to ask her questions about her day and what she did. She told me a few things, but for the most part she was more interested in getting home to play with her toys. I can't believe this day has come and gone already! I made it through without a tear! :) I'm so proud of my "big girl".

I am glad Savannah's teacher put you at ease. She sounds like a great one....you might have to shower her with handstamped gifts. LOL

I am glad Savannah went without any problems. My almost 6 foot Austin cried the whole first week in preschool. Broke my heart. I felt like a horrid Mom, running away from Preschool, him on the window crying....man, time flies.

Sounds like a great first experience for mom and daughter. The hardest part when my eldest went to pre-school was coming home to such a quiet house.
This year she went to grade 1 and I think sending her on the bus and not being there to hold her hand was much more difficult for me than pre-school or kindergarten. I'm sure there will be more to come- time sure does fly.

Yea Savannah!! She sounds a lot like my Emma - I was so afraid but she did great and was brave and had a great time. Wait until you see how much Savannah grows and blossoms at preschool - she's going to love it!!! Glad to hear it went well Charmaine!

How cute. Katie was the same way about not talking about what she did all day. Once she started she didn't stop! lol

Oh, how cute is she?! I'm so glad her teacher is careful about the allergies...I know how tough that is!
Next year I'll have to send my youngest to kindergarten...not looking forward to it!

She is too cute, so is your other daughter, heck so is your husband, more on the handsome side that cute side and so are you. Great family. Glad all turned out well and the teacher is on top of the allergy thing, that can be scarry.

Congrats to Miss Savannah on her first day of preschool! What a big step!

What kind of allergies does she have? My son's got tomato, strawberry and possibly bee/wasp stings. But I can't seem to be able to get him in for allergy testing to CONFIRM any of these, though I know when he eats this stuff, he gets rashes and hives....sigh....

ohhh..how sweet! I have a 3 yr old that I will be putting in pre-school soon..it's such a bittersweet feeling though. I know he needs interaction with the kids but he's my only one..and will be my only one..and it's soo hard for me to even think of letting go a little..brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of it..they grow up soo fast! What beautiful girls you have. I'm glad the first day of school was a good one!

Hooray! She looks so adorable heading off to school. My son starts preschool on Oct2 - I'm so excited about my upcoming "free time" (I may actually start cleaning my house regularly!!) but at the same time rather nervous. Thankfully I don't have allergy concerns to worry about - just nervous about him being away for 5 hrs, 2 days a week. Kind of silly I guess. I thought of you though as I was filling out the paperwork - had to sign an agreement that I'd never bring peanuts into the school. I was also surprised to read a policy that if you send treats for a birthday, etc, they cannot be homemade - only store bought. Kind of made me sad since I love cooking/baking, but considering how worried you are about your sweet little girl, it completely makes sense. Take care!

School time comes so fast. I don't remember there being any preschool in NY, kindergarten was the earliest a child whent to school and I didn't even do that. The first grade was my first time in school...I'm still a home body today, LOL. It sounds as though Savannah has a WONDERFUL teacher, very astute. It sounds lika a GOOD day all around.

You have a BEAUTIFUL family!! TFS.
